The Point Vicente Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), was organized on December 4, 1985. Mrs. Elizabeth Truesdail was the chapter's first regent. The chapter's name was chosen because of its proximity to the beautiful Point Vicente Lighthouse. Many members are from the Palos Verdes Peninsula, however some members are from other areas as well. Local residency is not a requirement for membership in the chapter.
